The Mid-Peninsula Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of El Primero by a score of 27-25. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mid-Peninsula in their matchups with El Primero: they've now lost six in a row.
Mid-Peninsula's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cherilyn Rodriguez, who scored ten points. Ruth Schar was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Mid-Peninsula has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for El Primero, their victory bumped their record up to 6-14.
Mid-Peninsula will be playing at home against Mountain View Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountain View Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. El Primero does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
