Long County's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Liberty County on Friday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, the Blue Tide made off with a 22-21 win over the Beach Bulldogs. The Blue Tide haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Jehmiel Pettis was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 79 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Long County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 298 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 186 rushing yards in six consecutive games dating back to last season.
