Basketball Recap: Nathan Goodwin Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Abramson

Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy posted their biggest win since January 20th on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Abramson Commodores with a sharp 57-33 victory. For the Swamp Owls, this counts as revenge for the 75-60 win the Commodores walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nathan Goodwin, who posted 15 points and four steals. Goodwin's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Antonio Castro was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten boards.

Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive contests.

Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Abramson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 55-39 defeat against Cohen on the 19th. As for Abramson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-14 loss against GEO Next Generation on the 19th.
