Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Dodge County

While Dodge County put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Southwest. The Indians blew past the Patriots 15-0. Considering the Indians have won seven matchups by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kain Mincey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Dodge County's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 4-6 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Brandon White was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Dodge County: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Brycen Pruett, who earned two runs and one stolen base.

Dodge County hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

The win (which was Dodge County's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Southwest, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
