The Swett Warriors will challenge the Mission Bears at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Swett's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Mission has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Swett had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Upper Lake on Tuesday. The Warriors blew past the Cougars 17-2.

Adan Miranda and Braylon Subia were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Miranda struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Subia tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. At bat, Miranda went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Subia went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Miranda has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, Swett let Ruben Ramirez-Lara and James Gibson run wild. Ramirez-Lara went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple, while Gibson got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave Ramirez-Lara a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Barker, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Mission lost 18-1 to Capuchino on Wednesday.
Mission's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Swett, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Swett beat Mission 6-2 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
