The Sequoia Charter Stallions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Empower College Prep Wolf at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
Sequoia Charter suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were beaten by ASU Prep Poly 65-30. While losing is never fun, Sequoia Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while ASU Prep Poly is ranked 96th).
Meanwhile, Empower College Prep strolled past Mission Heights Prep with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 64-48. The win was just what Empower College Prep needed coming off of a 64-42 loss in their prior contest.
Sequoia Charter bumped their record down to 3-7 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Empower College Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.
