The Clarion Area Bobcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Curwensville at home to the tune of 61-8. Clarion Area has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 25 points or more this season.
Clarion Area found their leader in underclassman Marley Kline, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kline has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Alston, who scored 12 points.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Clarion Area, bringing their record for this year to 10-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Curwensville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarion Area will take on the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clarion-Limestone is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Curwensville, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. Glendale is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
