Brentwood School has been on the road for four straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Windward Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Brentwood School was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 61-56 to the Spartans.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Lev Feiman, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last five times she's played. Payton Sugar was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Windward came tearing into Wednesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Campbell Hall 73-28 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Windward has managed all season.
Brentwood School's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-8. As for Windward, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.
Brentwood School beat the Wildcats 64-55 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Brentwood School have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
