In what's become a running theme this season, the Temecula Prep Patriots gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 42-20 margin over San Jacinto Valley Academy. Winning may never get old, but Temecula Prep sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Temecula Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abby Bennett, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Zylah Coleman was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Temecula Prep is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Temecula Prep will take on Nuview Bridge at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nuview Bridge is on a three-game streak of home wins, Temecula Prep a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge California School for the Deaf-Riverside at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. California School for the Deaf-Riverside has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
