Baseball Recap: Druid Hills Has No Trouble Against Paideia

Druid Hills won against Tucker on Friday with 19 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Druid Hills Red Devils were the clear victor by a 19-4 margin over the Paideia Pythons. The Red Devils have beaten the Pythons the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Pythons has come to flipping the script.

Druid Hills got a massive performance out of Brandon Parker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those three hits gave Parker a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Caelan Rogers, who went 3-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Druid Hills pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Paideia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Coming up, Druid Hills will head out to face off against Lithonia at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Druid Hills is facing Lithonia at the right time seeing as Lithonia is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Paideia, they will host Landmark Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Paideia has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
