Southeast scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Classen SAS Comets by a score of 7-6. The Spartans have struggled against the Comets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Southeast's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Classen SAS, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Southeast beat the Comets by a score of 12-3 later that day.
