Apostles Lutheran has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Averroes Falcon at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Apostles Lutheran comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Apostles Lutheran, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 26-10 loss to Latino College Preparatory Academy.
Bella Calderon put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored no points along with 25 rebounds and six steals. Calderon is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Averroes' three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They escaped with a win against Oakland Military Institute by the margin of a single free throw, 26-25. The victory was just what Averroes needed coming off of a 51-28 loss in their prior game.
Apostles Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Averroes, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
