The Parkway West HOYAS will head out on the road to face off against Masterman at 3:15  p.m.  on Friday.
 Last Monday, Parkway West was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  as they fell  42-38 to Paul Robeson. Parkway West has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Parkway West's  defeat came about despite a quality game from  Namira Bryant, who  scored 24 points. Bryant scored a full 63.2% of Parkway West's points, the second time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points.  Kemba Brown was another key contributor,  scoring 11 points.
 Meanwhile, Masterman gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  on Monday. They took their  match at home  with ease, bagging a  51-11 victory over Roxborough. With Masterman ahead  30-9 at the half, the  game was all but over already.
  Jocelyn Goldstein was a one-man wrecking crew for Masterman as she  scored 33 points. Another player making a difference was  Sophia Brunelli, who  scored 10 points.
 Parkway West's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Masterman, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
 Parkway West skirted past Masterman  39-36 in their previous matchup  back in December of 2018. Will Parkway West repeat their success,  or does  Masterman have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
