The Mount Calvary Christian Chargers entered their tilt with the New Covenant Christian Flames with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Mount Calvary Christian came out on top against New Covenant Christian by a score of 46-36 on Thursday. Mount Calvary Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Mount Calvary Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kylie Masters led the charge by scoring 12 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Kathleen Smucker, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds.
Mount Calvary Christian pushed their record up to 5-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for New Covenant Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games.
