Sun Valley Magnet waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Valley Oaks CES Vanguards. Manuel Marquez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Sun Valley Magnet's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Marquez was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
