The Selinsgrove Seals had to endure a nine-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 49-26 margin over Midd-West. Selinsgrove's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Kristin Shaffer was on fire: she almost dropped a triple-double on 29 points, 12 rebounds, and nine steals. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Howell, who scored three points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
Selinsgrove's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-6. As for Midd-West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Selinsgrove will be home for the holidays to greet Mifflinburg at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
