El Rancho found their leader in sophomore Emma Gonzalez, who went 8 for 20 en route to 24 points plus eight steals. Gonzalez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emery Riker, who earned six points along with 12 rebounds and five blocks.
El Rancho's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Duarte, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
