The Truckee Wolverines had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They pulled ahead with a 21-20 photo finish over Sparks. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Truckee also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Despite the loss, Sparks still got an impressive performance from Berenice Moreno Almaraz, who scored 8 points.
Truckee's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Sparks, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Truckee won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Portola at 5:00 p.m. on November 28th. As for Sparks, they will take on Silver Stage at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
