James Logan can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Kennedy, posting a 68-30 win at home. Given James Logan's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Titans are ranked 1026th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cierra Gallardo was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailyn Oldham, who scored 11 points along with six steals.
Mission San Jose has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 54-44 win over Castlemont on Monday.
James Logan's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Mission San Jose, their victory bumped their record up to 7-16.
Everything came up roses for James Logan against the Warriors in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 69-28 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for James Logan since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
