A big part of Albuquerque Academy's victory came down to the chemistry between William Braun and his top target Gage Conway. Braun threw for 323 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.4 yards per attempt while Conway picked up 188 receiving yards and three scores. Those 188 receiving yards gave Conway a new career-high. A healthy portion of Braun's aerial production (80 yards to be exact) also went to Logan Hague, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Moriarty lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Mario Romero, who rushed for 181 yards and one TD. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 53 yards. Mateo Manley-Griego was another key player, gaining 142 total yards.
Albuquerque Academy has already played their next matchup, a 51-0 win against Del Norte on the 30th. As for Moriarty, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 53-0 victory against Shiprock on the 29th.
