Basketball Recap: Shadow Ridge Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

If San Luis wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Shadow Ridge, they should've done a better job of containing Marshawn McCullum. The Shadow Ridge Stallions blew past the San Luis Sidewinders, posting a 72-33 win thanks in part to McCullum, who went 7 of 12 en route to 20 points along with seven boards and three steals. Those three steals gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Weston Eubanks, who posted six points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played.

The victory (which was Shadow Ridge's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for San Luis, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shadow Ridge will venture away from home to square off against Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Shadow Ridge is facing Westwood at the right time seeing as Westwood is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for San Luis, they will head out to face off against Chandler at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
