The South Spartans suffered their biggest defeat since January 5th on Thursday. They were dealt a 53-14 defeat at the hands of Tehachapi. South has not had much luck with Tehachapi recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tehachapi to victory, but perhaps none more so than Riley Walden, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Kennedy Perkins was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
South has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Tehachapi, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.
South will head out on the road to square off against West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in West's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while South has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Tehachapi will take on East Bakersfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
