The Everett Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 51-28 margin over Claysburg-Kimmel. Given Everett's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while Claysburg-Kimmel is ranked 598th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cloe Price was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 22 points, nine rebounds, and nine steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Everett's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Colledge, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Everett's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Claysburg-Kimmel, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Everett will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against McConnellsburg at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. McConnellsburg has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 11. As for Claysburg-Kimmel, they will play host again and welcome Fannett Metal, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
