While Linfield Christian put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Santana. The Lions put the hurt on the Sultans with a sharp 6-0 win. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Not much got past Jase Brenier, who gave up just three hits to keep Santana off the board. Brenier has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Luke Waddell, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

The victory was the third in a row for Linfield Christian, bringing their record up to 11-3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Santana, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Linfield Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 1-0 loss against Aquinas on the 5th. As for Santana, they have also already played their next matchup, a 7-4 defeat against Del Norte on the 7th.
