There's no place like home for the Fresno Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They came out on top against Roosevelt by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what Fresno needed considering they were shutout in their previous zero game.
They hit Roosevelt with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Monzeratt Arroyo (2),
Bella Haro, and
Kimberly Ruiz.
Roosevelt was without their leading scorer, Leslie Arreola, in Wednesday's match. With Arreola sitting this one out, Angelica Villalvazo got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. her season average of ten). Villalvazo made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal. A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.
Fresno's win bumped their record up to 9-10-5. As for Roosevelt, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16-2.
Fresno does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Roosevelt also has no future games currently scheduled.
