Basketball Recap: Highland Extends Winning Streak to Three

Highland won against Antelope Valley last Tuesday with 58 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. Everything went the Highland Bulldogs' way against the Lancaster Eagles as the Highland Bulldogs made off with a 58-36 victory. The win was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on three straight.

When it comes to explaining why Lancaster lost, don't look at Alvaro Martinez. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 12 on his way to 18 points. Those 18 points gave Martinez a new career-high. Keelan Benjamin was another key player, putting up seven points.

Highland now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Lancaster, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Highland will take on Hoover in a tournament on Thursday. As for Lancaster, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 69-58 victory against Newbury Park on the 20th.
