The Fairview Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Wickliffe Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairview is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
Fairview came out on top against Cuyahoga Falls on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Black Tigers 7-5.
Cooper Thomas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Burke Lowry, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Fairview's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-7 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Ben Shomon, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Wickliffe hadn't done well against Brush recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Blue Devils blew past the Arcs 14-8. Considering the Blue Devils have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Alex Aheimer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Aheimer was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025.
In other batting news, Frankie Bucar was excellent, going 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Blake Ludvik was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
Wickliffe kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.
The win got Fairview back to even at 7-7. As for Wickliffe, their record is now 8-12.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Fairview has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Wickliffe struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
