The Durham Trojans will head out to take on the Paradise Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Durham's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Paradise's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Durham will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Colusa, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Trojans put the hurt on the RedHawks with a sharp 9-3 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won three games by six runs or more so far this season.
Christian Koehler looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Jack Drake was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Durham is undefeated when Drake posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Brady Doyle was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Paradise was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Pierce, sneaking past 8-7. With that win, the Bobcats brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
The team relied heavily on Josh Einhaus, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. He also hit two doubles, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jayden Bunch, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
The victory made it two in a row for Durham and bumps their season record up to 6-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Paradise, their record now sits at 6-3.
Durham took their victory against Paradise in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 17-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
