Basketball Recap: Chino Makes It 13 in a Row on the Road

Chino extended their road winning streak to 13 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Tess Oldenburg. The Chino Cowboys claimed a resounding 52-24 victory over the Chaffey Tigers thanks in part to Oldenburg, who posted ten points in addition to seven boards and seven steals. She is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last eight games she's played.

Natalia Becerra was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Chino has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.2 points. As for Chaffey, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.

Chino will face off against Don Lugo at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Chino is facing Don Lugo at the right time seeing as Don Lugo is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Chaffey, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Chaffey Tigers take on the Diamond Ranch Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
