Summerfield Waldorf lost to Rio Lindo Adventist on the road by a decisive 40-21 margin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Summerfield Waldorf in their matchups with Rio Lindo Adventist: they've now lost six in a row.
Belen Hernandez continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Rio Lindo Adventist, scoring 12 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. Hernandez is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kaia Miller was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds and six steals.
Summerfield Waldorf's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Rio Lindo Adventist, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Summerfield Waldorf will take on Pacific Union College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pacific Union College Prep comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Rio Lindo Adventist won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against St. Helena at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th. St. Helena has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
