Fannett Metal lost against the Shalom Christian Academy Flames back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Fannett Metal received a tough blow as they fell 62-44 to Shalom Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Fannett Metal can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 642nd, while Shalom Christian Academy is ranked 136th).
Shalom Christian Academy was led to victory by Emily Rebok and Jaicee Keller. Rebok scored six points, while Keller scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
Fannett Metal has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Shalom Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fannett Metal will take on Claysburg-Kimmel at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shalom Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cumberland Valley Christian at 6:45 p.m. on January 16th.
