The Don Lugo Conquistadores had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Baldwin Park 57-23 at home. The victory was just what Don Lugo needed coming off of a 62-16 defeat in their prior game.
Sarah Magadan was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Makena Encarnacion, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Don Lugo's victory bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Baldwin Park, their loss was their 15th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-22.
