CIF Southern Section high school football playoffs: Brackets, schedules and game times for all 14 divisions

Four of nation’s top squads land in 10-team Division 1 bracket.

Four of the top 25 high school football teams in the country will battle it out beginning Friday in the loaded 10-team CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoff bracket, one of 14 released Sunday.

National No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana), No. 4 St. John Bosco (Bellflower), No. 13 Centennial (Corona) and No. 22 Long Beach Poly (Long Beach) will all kick off Nov. 11 after a bye in the Division 1 field.

SOUTHERN SECTION PLAYOFFS: Scores and daily schedules

Top seeds Mater Dei and St. John Bosco could face off for the second time this season in the section final at the Rose Bowl on Nov. 25. Mater Dei won the first meeting in early October 17-7.

The winner in Division 1 will likely be headed to the Open Division state title game, scheduled for Dec. 10 at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo.
