It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs can now relate to. They fell 43-34 to Early County on Friday. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Tycavion Stovall was his usual excellent self, rushing for 314 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. Stovall has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last four times he's played.
Emanuel County Institute's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Early County, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.
Emanuel County Institute does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Early County will square off against Schley County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Schley County will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
