Baseball Recap: Dublin Extends Winning Streak to Three

Dublin never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over the Jefferson County Warriors. Considering the Fighting Irish have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Xavier Reese was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Morgan Davis and Tyrese Robinson did most of the damage at the plate: Davis scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Robinson scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. That's the most stolen bases Robinson has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bennett Lake, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Dublin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win (which was Dublin's third in a row) raised their record to 8-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.3 runs. As for Jefferson County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Dublin beat Jefferson County by a score of 12-2 later that day.
