The Live Oak Acorns can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They blew past Independence 46-19 at home. The win was just what Live Oak needed coming off of a 54-21 loss in their prior match.
Leading Live Oak to victory were Aleenah Garcia and Rian Henderson. Garcia scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Henderson scored eight points along with four blocks. Another player making a difference was Kathliyah Clement, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Live Oak's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Independence, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Live Oak's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Gilroy at 8:00 p.m. on January 11th. Gilroy is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Independence, they will be playing at home against Westmont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westmont is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
