The Marquez Gladiators are taking a road trip to square off against the Westchester Comets at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
On Thursday, Marquez didn't have quite enough to beat Huntington Park and fell 4-2. The Gladiators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaime Hernandez
| 03/05/26 @ Huntington Park | 1 |
| 03/02/26 @ Lincoln | 1 |
| 02/23/26 @ Gardena | 2 |
Jaime Hernandez made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Hernandez is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Westchester ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Gardena 14-13. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Comets.
Jalen Moore made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Moore was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jayden Hightower, who got on base in all six of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Draiden Harris-Smith, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Westchester now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Marquez, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Marquez has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Westchester struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
