Patriot had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Mission Viejo Diablos by a score of 40-30.

Patriot's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Angie Gonzalez led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Rose Sanchez, who posted seven points along with nine boards and five steals.

Several Diablos players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maria Isabella Valencia, who earned seven points along with ten blocks and eight boards. Those ten blocks gave Valencia a new career-high. Faith Harper was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Patriot is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Mission Viejo, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Patriot wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 52-40 win against Pacifica on the 28th. As for Mission Viejo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-30 loss against La Mirada on the 28th.
