This season hasn't been kind to the Tri-Valley Bulldogs, who are still winless after their tenth contest. They fell to Greenwood 48-42. Tri-Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Greenwood apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Tri-Valley lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cassie Huntzinger, who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Huntzinger scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Avery Miller, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Tri-Valley has fallen quite a ways from their 12-5 record last season and are now at 0-10. As for Greenwood, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri-Valley will take on Minersville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Greenwood, they will be playing at home against Millersburg at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Millersburg has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
