The Cornerstone Christian Crusaders will venture away from home to challenge the Elsinore Tigers at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Cornerstone Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
Cornerstone Christian came out on top against California Lutheran on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Crusaders' pitcher stepped up to hand the C-Hawks a 10-0 shutout. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the C-Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Dylan Kelly and Josh May did most of the damage at the plate: Kelly went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while May went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Kelly has become a key player for Cornerstone Christian: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-5 otherwise. Jonus Lance was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Elsinore earned an 8-5 win over Temescal Canyon on Thursday.
Jacob Farias spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Bryson Boyd was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Tyler Horton also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
The victory got Cornerstone Christian back to even at 6-6. As for Elsinore, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
Cornerstone Christian skirted past Elsinore 4-3 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
