Needles lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Williams, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's contest. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 16-10 margin over the Vikings on Wednesday. Considering the Mustangs have won six games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Gabe Rodriguez was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Goulet, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Needles' victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Williams, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6-1 record this season.

Needles will challenge Lincoln County at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Lynx have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of. Williams has already played their next contest (against Mayer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
