The Kelseyville Knights are on the road again on Saturday and plays the Ukiah Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on February 10th. Kelseyville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 791st, while Ukiah is ranked 263rd).
Last Thursday, Kelseyville kept a clean sheet against Roseland University Prep. They came out on top against the Knights by a score of 2-0.
Kelseyville was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
KATHRYN WHEELAN and
MIKAELA RICO, who scored both of Kelseyville's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 28 so far this season.
Meanwhile, Ukiah scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Elsie Allen with a sharp 11-0 win. The result was nothing new for Ukiah, who have now won seven games by three goals or more so far this season.
Kelseyville's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6-3. As for Ukiah, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5-4 record this season.
Kelseyville suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Ukiah when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Kelseyville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
