Verrado hadn't done well against Desert Edge recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Verrado Vipers put the hurt on the Desert Edge Scorpions with a sharp 65-39 win. The Vipers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season.

Verrado is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.3 points. As for Desert Edge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Verrado will head out to challenge Lake Havasu at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Verrado is facing Lake Havasu at the right time seeing as Lake Havasu is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Desert Edge, they will venture away from home to square off against Paradise Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
