The Desert Edge Scorpions basketball squad (Goodyear, AZ), was crushed 65-39 in Friday's league battle with the host Verrado Vipers (Buckeye, AZ)

With the victory, Verrado advances its record to 4-4 on the year. The Vipers travel to Lake Havasu (Lake Havasu City, AZ) to meet the Knights in a non-league battle on Monday, December 16. The Knights enter the battle with a record of 2-5. Lake Havasu lost 52-47 in their recent non-league battle against Lee Williams (Kingman, AZ)

The Scorpions now own a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Paradise Valley for a 5A Desert West battle on Tuesday, December 17. Desert Edge will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 64-53 league win over North Canyon (Phoenix, AZ). The Trojans record now stands at 7-4.
