Arizona High School Basketball - Desert Edge nips Paradise Valley

In Tuesday's league contest, the host Desert Edge Scorpions basketball team scored a close 61-59 win over the Paradise Valley Trojans.

The Scorpions (7-15) will now prepare for their contest against Independence (Glendale, AZ). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Independence was tipped by La Joya Community (Avondale, AZ), 64-47, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Verrado Vipers (Buckeye, AZ) in a 5A Desert West contest, on Friday, February 7. Paradise Valley will attempt to better on its 15-8 season record. The Vipers come into the contest with a 12-9 record after their 60-51 league loss to Canyon View (Waddell, AZ).
