Attica lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ronnie Matthews, who went 5-for-9 en route to 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Those seven boards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jayce Larson, who shot 63% from the field on his way to 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Even though they lost, Attica smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. This was only their first loss (out of four games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Medora to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hudson Johnson, who went 9-for-13 to rack up 20 points. Thanks to that strong game, Johnson now owns an excellent 45.1% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Owen, who posted eight points in addition to six boards and five assists.
Attica's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Medora, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.
Coming up, Attica will take on Riverton Parke at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Attica is facing Riverton Parke at the right time seeing as Riverton Parke is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Medora, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 65-25 loss against Orleans on the 5th.
