The Etna Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 75-32 loss at the hands of Fall River. Etna was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-14.
Mylah Darnell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Fall River, scoring 27 points along with six steals and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Darnell has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Reese Cassity, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
Etna has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Fall River, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-9.
Etna will take on the Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Modoc focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. As for Fall River, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Shasta has now lost 14 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2.
