Leading Waynesburg Central to victory were Peyton Cowell and Kaley Rohanna. Cowell dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Rohanna scored 15 points along with five assists. The game was Rohanna's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Josie Horne, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Winter Park's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maliyah Lockhart, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Seay, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Waynesburg Central's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Winter Park, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
