Franklin Towne is 0-3 against Archbishop Ryan since April of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Warriors will head out to face off against the Raiders and Ragdolls at 4:00 p.m. Franklin Towne is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
While Franklin Towne's victory against Carver High School of Engineering & Science wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors had just enough and edged out Carver High School of Engineering & Science 6-5.
Shane Sliwinski looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jayden Ocasio, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as he's now launched at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlo Quattrone, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Ryan hadn't done well against Neumann-Goretti recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Raiders and Ragdolls skirted past the Saints 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders and Ragdolls have posted against the Saints since May 18, 2019.
Flash Krzywicki was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Emil-Favio Monegro also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
The victory made it two in a row for Archbishop Ryan and bumps their season record up to 10-6. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Franklin Towne, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Franklin Towne has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Archbishop Ryan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Franklin Towne couldn't quite get it done against Archbishop Ryan when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 12-7. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
