San Lorenzo hasn't had much luck against Concord recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The San Lorenzo Grizzlies and the Concord Bears will meet for a tough Bear Battle. San Lorenzo is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
While San Lorenzo didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Bethel on Tuesday as San Lorenzo made off with a 15-2 win. Fans of the Grizzlies have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Rogelio Hernandez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Kane Lawless was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Marco Nunez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
San Lorenzo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .512 or higher in seven consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Concord unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of American Canyon by a score of 4-2.
Concord saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Machado, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
San Lorenzo's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 16 runs. As for Concord, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Concord's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: San Lorenzo has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .592. It's a different story for Concord, though, as they've only averaged .363. Will they be able to contain San Lorenzo's hitters?
